Myocardial infarction as a mask for catecholamine-induced cardiomyopathy against the background of pheochromocytoma

چکیده
Pheochromocytoma (PC) is a tumor of chromaffin cells the sympathetic-adrenal system that produces large amount catecholamines (adrenaline, norepinephrine, dopamine). There are no reliable data in literature on frequency cardiac manifestations pheochromocytoma, which associated with rarity this pathology. This case demonstrates development catecholamine-induced cardiomyopathy, proceeding under guise heart attack, as primary manifestation pheochromocytoma. The patient was referred diagnosis «Ischemic disease, myocardial infarction» to perform coronary angiography, according result study, pathology arteries detected. In process additional examination, pheochromocytoma left adrenal gland revealed. initial changes electrocardiogram, echocardiographic and laboratory parameters regressed, confirmed cardiomyopathy developed against background Currently, there an increasing information about non-ischemic damage patients These form clinical (pain behind sternum, shortness breath, various types arrhythmias) well non-specific ECG data, disturbances local kinetics decrease global contractility without stenotic artery were called cardiomyopathy.

Pheochromocytoma is a rare disorder and functioning tumor composed of chromaffin cells that secrete catecholamines. Patients with a pheochromocytoma 'crisis' have a high mortality in spite of aggressive therapy. We present a case with a severe acute catecholamine cardiomyopathy presenting ST segment elevation with cardiogenic shock after hemorrhage into a left suprarenal tumor. Intra-aortic bal...
متن کاملRecurrent Catecholamine-Induced Cardiomyopathy in a Patient With a Pheochromocytoma
Pheochromocytomas presents with variable clinical manifestations. Cardiomyopathy caused by a pheochromocytoma is well known. We report the case of a 62-year-old woman with recurrent left ventricular dysfunction, who was subsequently found to have a pheochromocytoma. The patient had two different patterns of cardiomyopathy. Patients with a cardiomyopathy, of non-specific origin, should have a ph...

Pheochromocytoma is a tumor originating from chromaffin tissue. It commonly presents with symptoms and signs of catecholamine excess, such as hypertension, tachycardia, headache and sweating. Cardiovascular manifestations include catecholamine-induced cardiomyopathy, which may present as severe left ventricular dysfunction and congestive heart failure. We report a case of pheochromocytoma which...
متن کاملPheochromocytoma Presenting As Acute Myocardial Infarction
Pheochromocytomas are rare neuro-endocrine tumors arising from chromaffin cells of the sympathetic nervous system.Pheochromocytomacan have diverse clinical presentations, which makes the diagnosis often difficult. We present a case of adrenalpheochromocytoma presenting as acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Catecholamine surge in patients with pheochromocytoma can cause myocardial...

A 40-year-old female w~th the left adrenal pheochoromocytoma showed ECG abnormalities and the clinical features similar to act.~te myocardial infarction. Enzymological studies and UCG findings in the acute phase revealed the same pattern as those in acute myocardial infarction. After finding the existence of the left adrenal pheochromocytoma, the differential diagnosis between myocardial infarc...
